The JAVA/J2EE specialist will be on charge of the designing, coding, enhancing and testing of software applications to meet business process requirements. He/she applies functional knowledge and technical expertise in the implementation of configuration changes and maintenance of software applications. Also responsible for creating web based tools and applications that will work with multiple business processing platforms in a fast paced development environment.

The main responsibilities include:
- Work with clients and internal engineering groups to architect their engineering integration platform
- Document technical requirements
- Frame the project plan, track milestones, and manage issues and risks
- Coordinate or implement challenging IT architectures by using technologies like Java/J2EE, Web Services, and XML/XSLT
- Coordinate design and implementation of Engineering Integration Platforms based on J2EE architectures
- Work with clients to understand their requirements and improve their processes
- Work alongside software Testers to maximize efficiency and quality and eliminate errors
- Interface with software platform team members and participate in project team evaluations for software enhancements, bug fixes, & future development projects
- Full life cycle Java development from design, programming, and testing to application delivery
- Design and implementation of analysis that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology
- Development of technical design documents (specifications) based on functional design documents (business requirements)
- Design and develop applications based on technical/functional design documents. Includes hands on involvement in designing, coding and testing of program modules
- Creation, execution and documentation of tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets performance requirements (technical, functional and user interface)
- Maintenance, repair and performance tuning of applications.
- End user support activities
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related major degree
- +4years of experience programming Java
- Prior experience with HTML, XML/XSLT, UML, Java programming, J2EE, JBOSS, JUnit, Oracle, development of EJB, Weblogic, Hibernate, and/or Cache Objects. Knowledge of IIS - Internet Information Services is helpful
- Experience with EJB’s from scratch, understanding of session beans, container managed beans, etc…
- A demonstrated understanding of object oriented relational Modeling
- Understand the complete software development lifecycle
- Fluent English and Spanish language skills
- Must be able to read complex data models or ERD diagrams
- Experience with a source code control tool and know how to merge conflicting changes
- Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
- Strong demonstration of leadership
- Good interpersonal, problem solving, reasoning, and analytical skills
- Ability to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams
